LED curing of UV inks

16-Oct-2009 At Rupert Collins the latest equipment evaluation we are undertaking is in the area of LED curing of UV inks. This relatively new practice is replacing UV (Ultraviolet) curing; the advantage being that no heat is transferred to the printing substrate during the curing process. This, in turn, helps in the post-printing manufacturing process by eliminating stretching or shrinking of the plastics.
